The Plaza Suite Hotel is located downtown in the Warehouse district within blocks of the French Quarter, Harrah's Casino, the Aquarium of Americas, Riverwalk Marketplace, Morial Convention Center, the St. Charles Canal, and Riverfront street cars. Numerous restaurants are within easy walking distance, as are taxi, bus, and street-car routes for transportation. Some tours provide pick-up service. The resort has a tropical hot tub area, an atruim with painted glass skylights on the second floor, and 24-hour security gates. The resort is historically preserved and is more than 100 years old.
