Off the Mapp opened for guest accommodation in 2009 and is a small family operated specialty lodging and outdoor activity provider. Its Cob Quarters and Boundary Creek Cabin offer unique history and atmosphere, while the Glazebrook Farmhouse and Glazebrook Cottage are more conventional accommodation in scenic locations. The Cob Quarters, built of clay in the early 1900's has been lovingly restored with modern comforts and sleeps a max of 6 guests in handcrafted timber bunks and a queen bed. All have private locations, next to rivers on a 2200ha property including 1000ha private conservation area with stunning mountain and river views. A highlight is the hot outdoor showers, built into the riverbank and the Cob Quarters has wildly romantic twin outdoor baths perched on a rocky gorge with the river cascading below. Guests may tramp, birdwatch, hunt or fish. Just 45 minutes from Blenheim.
