Devon Palms Holiday Cottages are set in one acre of a picturesque hamlet in Maidencombe situated within walking distance of a peaceful bathing cove with many beautiful views over the bay. br / br / br / br / Maidencombe is only 10 minutes away from the centre of Torquay and Teignmouth with its lovely sandy beaches is approximately the same distance. br / br / Both towns offer a rich variety of daytime and evening entertainment with many restaurants offering some of the best cuisine in Torbay. br / br / br / br / The properties are decorated and furnished to a good standard. Across the road and down the hill is the lovely sheltered beach which is complete with a café and if you fancy climbing the rocks you will see some fantastic views across the ocean. Take in some of the stunning Torbay coastline walk from beach to beach past beautiful cliffs and rolling hills and enjoy some of the best coastal walks in Devon. br / br / Torquay is a very popular and historic town with a huge variety of things to see and do. The town centre is only 4 miles away offering plenty of shops pubs and restaurants. Like most of the towns in the area Torquay is situated right on the coast and the main town is just a few minutes away from the nearest beach - Torre Abbey Sands. There are eight other beaches around Torquay all with unique views across the bay. The town itself is bursting with history being the birthplace of the famous murder mystery writer Agatha Christie. It also has beautiful ancient caves containing a variety of interesting fossils World War II slipways in the harbour and Torre Abbey which was built in 1166 and is the largest surviving medieval monastery in Devon and Cornwall. And of course who can forget the role Torquay played in the famous comedy Fawlty Towers. br / br / The South West Coastal Path from Watcombe in Torquay to Maidencombe is a favourite spot for local walkers. This walk has a little bit of everything - from woods and open fields to beaches coastal scenery and rare wildlife.

Exeter - Road: - Follow signs to Torquay. - Turn left for Teignmouth . - Drive 5 miles to Traffic Lights then Turn Right. - Drive to next lights (distance mile) then Turn Left. - Travel over the bridge to Shaldon then follow sign for Torquay A379. - IT IS ADVISABLE TO IGNORE YOUR SAT NAV FROM THIS POINT. - Drive for 3 miles and we are the first property on the Right side of the road at the crossroads.
