Take the A470 to Dolgellau then take the first turning into the town on the left before the by-pass continuing along this road (Pont yr Arran) until you cross the hump-backed bridge and enter the one-way system. Follow the road (Porth Canol) into the town square but take the first turn left at the greengrocers into Meyrick Street. Continue to the staggered cross-roads at the end of the street and go straight across and up the narrow street ahead. Follow this road up to the top (Mount Pleasant/Bryn Teg) where it veers to the right and back downhill. Continue down to the crossroads. Ffynnon is the imposing stone building with large wrought-iron gates on the left at the crossroads
