It is situated on North Street almost right in the centre of the town. br / br / br / br / Skibbereen has heaps to offer visitors with its golden beaches stunning scenery Heritage Centre challenging golf course to name just a few of the attractions. br / br / br / br / The town of Skibbereen is home to many thriving pubs & Restaurants many of which feature traditional Irish Music ballads etc. Other towns and sites to visit all within a twenty mile radius include Rosscarbery Union Hall Glandore Baltimore Ballydehob Schull Bantry while the Mizen Head with its Visitor Centre is the southernmost point of Ireland and well worth a visit on a fine day. br / br / br / br / Every Thursday afternoon the Country Market operates from Abbeystrewry Parochial Hall while on Saturday the Skibbereen Farmers Market is held from 9.30am till 1.30pm at the Fairfield. Each provides an excellent range of food crafts bric-a-brac etc. This is rural Ireland at its best. The cattle market is held on Fridays.
