La Posada del León de Oro totally reformed open its doors again in 2010 restructured in a singular hotel with a wonderful design. It s 17 rooms all difference will provided you with new emotions and give you the opportunity to live an unforgettable experiences. Located in the heart of Madrid close to the Plaza Mayor Puerta del Sol Royal Palace y Triángulo del Arte ( Prado Museum Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum and Reina Sofia National Museum). La Posada del León de Oro is located in the Austrias s neighborhood in the middle of the bohemian district of La Latina last shelter of artists actors and poets and really close to the shopping areas. It is also known because is one of the most popular areas on the weekends and an excellent place to have some tapas and drinks with several taverns and terrace bars where you can enjoy the wonderful Madrid night visited from locals and tourists. This old building from the 19th century has been converted in a boutique hotel with a singular design. You can see it in its large rooms all of them are different and with the latest trends in decoration and technologies like free wifi or underfloor heating. We have recovered a part of the Muralla Cristiana Christian Walls from the 12nd century that cross the building with the Corrala are one of the most singular elements of the Hotel. It has several diplomas like Establecimiento tradicional madrileño (Traditional establishment from Madrid) or Empresa Centenria (Centenary company) awarded in 1981 and 1987 by Cámara de comercio de Madrid (Madrid s Chamber of Commerce). Our restaurant concept is a renovation of traditional cuisine and a diversification of the typical dishes from the center of Spain (Iberian products from Salamanca Meats from Ávila and Dishes from Castilla ) accompanied with really good wines you can choose from more than 300 references that convert us with a enological reference in the area. Between all of the wines have an special relevance the wines from the Denominación de origin de la Comunidad de Madrid because it is the only Capital City of the world that give its name to a Protected Designation of Origin.

From the airport by Metro Taxi Train or Express bus. By Metro: From the airport you have to take the line number 8 the pink one to Nuevos Ministerios . There you have to transfer to the line number 10 the dark blue one in Puerta del Sur direction till Tribunal stop. There you have to transfer to the line number 1 the light blue one in Valdecarros direction till Tirso de Molina stop. From Tirso de Molina you have to walk just five minutes in the Puerta Cerrada direction and on your left you will find Cava Baja street. Express-Bus(yelllow color): From the 1 2 or 4 terminal till Atocha . There you have to take the line number 1 the light blue one in Pinar de Chamartin direction till Tirso de Molina stop. From Tirso de Molina you have to walk just 5 minutes in the Puerta Cerrada direction and on your left you will find Cava Baja street. From Puerta de Atocha Train Station by Metro or Taxi. By Metro: From Atocha you have to take the line number 1 the light blue one in Pinar de Chamartin direction till Tirso de Molina stop. From Tirso de Molina you have to walk just 5 minutes in the Puerta Cerrada direction and on your left you will find Cava Baja street. Moving around the city by public transport: By Metro: Metro Line 1 (light blue) - Pinar de Chamartin - Valdecarros : Tirso de Molina stop. From Tirso de Molina you have to walk just 5 minutes in the Puerta Cerrada direction and on your left you will find Cava Baja street. Metro Line 2 (red) - La Elipa - Cuatro Caminos : Sol Stop. From Sol you have to walk 10 minutes in the Plaza Mayor direction and from there through the Arco de Cuchilleros you have to take Cuchilleros street in the Puerta Cerrada direction and in front of it you will find the Cava Baja street. Metro Line 5 (green) - Alameda de Osuna - Casa de Campo : La Latina stop. From La Latina you have to walk 3 minutes along Toledo street in the direction to Puerta Cerrada and from there you can access to the Cava Baja street. By car / GPS (lat. 40 24 47 0 7606 N Long. 3 41 19 7160. W): From Calle-30/ M-30 if we are coming from the Highway A-6. Take the 19 exit in the direction Paseo de Extremadura street / Segovia street in the next stop on your right take the Segovia street till Puerta Cerrada . On your right you will find the Cava Baja street. From Calle-30/ M-30 if we are coming from the Highways A-1 A-2 A-3 A-4 or A-5. From these highways you have to take the 17 exit in the direction Paseo Virgen del Puerto . After few meters we are going to take the Segovia street on the right till Puerta Cerrada . On the right you will find the Cava Baja street. Closest Metro Station: La Latina (line number 5 green color) - 250 meters. Tirso de Molina (line number 1 light blue color) - 500 meters. Sol (line number 2 red color) - 700 meters. Closest Bus Station: 31 (Plaza Mayor - Aluche) - 50 meters. 50 (Puerta del Sol - Avda. Manzanares) - 50 meters. 65 (Pza.
